| Description A small economical unit which is simple to fix to the surface of the door or transom. It has a precision rack and pioion mechanism, with hydraulic check action. The ITO H 121 door closer is produced to strenght 3 to suit the most popular range of door size and is a universal closer. Construction The ITO H 121 closer is produced with high quality components, having a pressure die cast aluminum body, steel rack and pinion (heat treated and ground) and sintered bearings. Arm set is produced from steel strip pressed to give a ridged configuration. Finishes Sprayed silver, brown, gold or vhite and stoved for improved durability. Performance Although the ITO closer is small in size it has a very efficient mechanism which gives powerful performance. Door closing is hydraulically controlled, with regulators provided to give desired spedds of closing. A hight performance hydraulic fluid is used which gives temperature compensating operation. Fire ITO 121 has been included in a successful 60 minute fire door test to BS 476: part 22: 1987 Applications Closer surface fixed as either application 1 (regular) or application 61 (transom). Fixing instructions and templates are supplied with each closer.  Handling Closer are self handing. Angle of opening Fixing position for all application allow the door to open 180° to 10° Latch action - to accelerate or decelerate the door from approx. 10° to 0° To overcome stubborn latch bolts, or cushion the door into the frame.  Maintenance All internal working parts of the ITO H 121 closer are completely immersed in oil to ensure long working life. When used asa part of the fire precaution system, check correct functioning of unit during the periodic fire safety test procedurs. Check quarterly to ensure correct settings of door closing and latching speeds and that fixings screws are tight. A small quantity of light machine oil applied to the arm knukle joint and to the door hinges will assist optimun performance. Guarentee 10 year guarentee. |
